Ward Volunteers
These volunteers help on wards at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals. Tasks involve listening and chatting to patients, assisting with meal times and running errands for both patients and staff.
Garden Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to help maintain the gardens at Heatherwood and Wexham Park hospitals.
Chaplaincy Volunteers
Volunteers from many faiths assist the chaplains by visiting patients in the wards, by helping take patients to services in the hospitals and by ensuring that requests to see the chaplain are passed on.
Children's Ward Volunteers
Children's play area volunteers help the play specialists prepare appropriate activities for sick children.
Outpatients Department Volunteers
Tasks include filing, producing standard letters, answering the telephone and taking messages.
Canteen helpers (Friends of Broadmoor)
The canteen at Broadmoor secure hospital is manned everyday but Christmas for the benefit of the residents' friends and families. The canteen is outside the hospital so there is no contact with hospital residents.
Give Blood
Being a volunteer for the National Blood Service doesn't just include giving blood. You can get involved in anything from putting up posters to asking people in the street to donate.
