As part of Bracknell Flowers 2008 the committee has put together a "Blooming Biodiversity" walking tour for residents to enjoy the wildflowers and insects that live here. The tour is marked with giant pink and orange butterflies and a map of the tour is available as a download on the right-hand side of this page. We have started to cut the long meadow grass on these sites as the wildflowers have now finished flowering and set seed ready for next year. The long grass is collected and taken away to be composted which helps to keep the soil nutrient levels as low as possible as this encourages wildflowers. Please note that when the grass is short we remove the butterfly signs but they will re-emerge next spring for residents to enjoy.
Walking the Blooming Biodiversity trail could also count towards your 3 x 30 exercise to get fit and healthy.![]() |
