Lottery Registration

Under the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976 the application should be made on the appropriate form at least 28 days before the Lottery is to commence.

Guidance Notes

There are a number of conditions under which lotteries may be conducted which are:

  • All the proceeds for lotteries shall be for prizes for that lottery less any printing and stationary expenses
  • If the lottery is for members of a society then the proceeds can also be for the purposes of that society in whole or part
  • Advertisements for the lottery can only be published or distributed on the premises for which, the lottery is being promoted
  • The price of every ticket or chance shall be the same and must be stated on the ticket
  • Each ticket must bear the name and address of each of the promoters and a statement of whom the sale of tickets is restricted to, e.g, members
  • Tickets must not be issued by promoters except by way of sale and upon receipt of its full price and no money or item received by a promoter should be returned
  • Tickets must not be sent through the post

  • By Credit/ Debit Card at Time Square
  • By telephone through the Customer Service Centre on 01344 351400
  • On the website using Bracknell Forest Online Payments
