Supplementary Planning Documents
Supplementary planning documents (SPDs) form part of the Local Development Framework. They may cover a range of issues with wider themes or relate to site-specific guidance. They may therefore include design guides, area development briefs or master plans. They must also be clearly linked to a policy in a local development document or a saved policy in the Local Plan.
The following supplementary planning documents have been adopted:
- Designing for Accessibility in Bracknell Forest
- Limiting the Impact of Development
- Bracknell Forest Borough Parking Standards
- Sustainable Resource Management
- Character Area Assessments
- Amen Corner
- Streetscene
In addition, further supplementary planning documents are being prepared:
- Warfield
The Warfield SPD will provide guidance to the construction industry, residents living within or near the site, interest groups and the public on how the Warfield area should be redeveloped. The document will provide development principles and a concept plan which together form a comprehensive framework to guide development. Once adopted and with Policy CS5 of the adopted Core Strategy, the SPD will be a material consideration in the determination of planning applications affecting the site. - Thames Basin Heaths -The Thames Basin Heaths Avoidance and Mitigation SPD will provide guidance to the construction industry, environmental interest groups, the Council and the public on how the impacts of new residential developments on the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area (SPA) should be avoided and mitigated. This document will also provide information on the necessary planning obligations needed to ensure that new development does not adversely affect the SPA.
