Bracknell Forest Council is responsible for parking on the public highway and within council-owned car parks.

Legally, public roads are provided for the unrestricted movement of traffic. However, British custom and practice is that vehicles are allowed to park on-street where it is safe to do so, unless specifically prohibited. The council’s policy is to use parking restrictions primarily to address traffic congestion or road safety problems.
