Community Centres and Facilities
There are several community centres in the Borough, which are locally based. The aim of these centres is to promote activities which are of benefit to local residents. Examples of such activities include pre-school playgroups, senior citizens' lunch clubs and social events.
Most of the community associations have responsibility for buildings leased to them by the Council. These community centres are used for a variety of community activities and are also available for hire for specific events such as wedding receptions and children’s parties.
