All persons using the Bracknell Forest sites shall comply with the Byelaws in accordance with the Berkshire Act 1986, and agreed by Bracknell Forest Borough Council on 12 July 1990.
Membership is divided into two categories one for persons residing within the Borough of Bracknell Forest and one for those residing outside.
Within these categories are various price bands for family, adult, OAP, junior and disabled membership.
Persons categorised as juniors are aged under 16 years. No membership fees are payable for children under 5 years with the exception of specific courses.
All persons aged 60+ years qualify for OAP membership.
All members are required to show their membership card complete with photograph when using leisure facilities.
A charge will be made for any replacement cards required due to loss or theft.
Any misuse of membership cards will result in an immediate cancellation of membership.
Standard memberships are valid for a period of one calendar year.All members of the public are entitled to use the leisure centres while Bracknell Forest Borough Council retains the right to withdraw all or part of any facility for up to 14 consecutive days without compensation and with or without notice for; cleaning, repair, alteration, maintenance; after which time compensation will be considered, NOTE - Bracknell Leisure Centre, Edgbarrow and Sandhurst Sport Centres are non-smoking environments.
All persons should report to the reception on arrival.
All court bookings should be confirmed at this time.
Members may book by quoting their name & membership number, either by telephone or in person, up to fifteen days in advance.
Non-members maybook by quoting their name, address and phone number, either by telephone or in person, up to ten days in advance.
Court booking can be made from 10am daily
Members may book only one court in their name.
For contract/block bookings it is necessary to consult the Bookings Officers.
For commercial/function bookings it is necessary to contact the Assistant Manager.
Special conditions relating to the hire of facilities are detailed in a separate document.
For members:
More than 24 hours before - no charge.
Less than 24 hours before – full charge
Non-attendance – full charge payable on next visit.
Note on arrears - the right of members to book courts may be withheld if the account is in arrears.
For non-members:
More than 24 hours before – no charge
Less than 24 hours before – full charge.
Non-attendance – full charge payable on any future booking.
If the booking is cancelled by Bracknell Forest Borough Council a full refund will be given.
All coaching agreements are controlled by the centre management. Any persons wishing to coach privately must first obtain the permission of the centre management.
Any courses set up will only run if there is sufficient demand: if a course has to be cancelled, an alternative course will be offered or a refund given. Persons enrolled on a course are not guaranteed the same coach at every session and the site retains the right to alter where necessary.
Members of the public are requested to wear clothing appropriate to the activity on all occasions. Shirts must be worn in all sporting & public areas. Correct sports shoes must be worn on all courts; black soled shoes are not permitted on any indoor courts.
In the Bodylogic fitness rooms denim, shirts and trousers will not be allowed. Only training shoes and specialist astro-turf shoes will be allowed on the synthetic pitch.
Personal property - i.e. underwear, combs etc., is not kept.
Ordinary property - is kept at reception for a period of two weeks. If not claimed, it is passed on to charity.
Valuables – i.e. jewellery etc., are logged at reception and kept for a period of six months. These can only be re-claimed during office hours. If not claimed, they are passed on to charity.
The liability of the site for damage to, or loss of user’s property is strictly limited to any damage or loss suffered as a result of negligence of the site or its staff. Each site will not store any personal property. Property left in the changing room is done so at the owners risk. The centres do not provide lockers. Any items left overnight may be removed and disposed of by the management. Cars parked in the car park are left at the owner's risk and the site will accept no liability for any loss or damage. The car park is for site users only, parking at other times requires the permission of the management. Any accident occurring on the premises must be reported to the reception and an appropriate form completed, immediately following the accident.
Membership of each site may be terminated by giving one month's written notice. The management also reserves the right to terminate the membership of any person breaching rules and regulations or for any other reason the management deems appropriate.
Goods will only be accepted for return, exchange or refund upon proof of purchase. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
No food or drink may be brought into and consumed within the site unless with the permission of the management.
All users of each site must observe the rules and comply with any directions the management may give to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the site.
Each site reserves the right to alter and amend these rules at any time.
All users of the fitness rooms will only be allowed entry if they have performed an induction.
All users must also be over the age of 16 and may be asked for identification for proof of age.
Use of mobile phones is not permitted whilst in the fitness rooms.
There is also a strict no eating policy / chewing of gum in the fitness rooms. No outdoor footwear is to be worn due to potential breakage of equipment.
