Science and Nature Exhibits

Hands-on Science and Nature Fun is suitable for ages 4 - 104! Some activities are suitable for 2-3 year olds, such as the ball pond, toddler supermarket, stream etc. Children aged 3 and under are free. Very popular with toddlers.

Over 90 interactive exhibits designed to entertain and educate children and adults of all ages.

New exhibits at The Look Out - Electricity and Magnets!
Find out more about amazing magnets at The Look Out. Plus, brand new Wiggly Wire exhibit - a great new challenging fun exhibit. Can you pass the wand over the wriggly wire without touching it?! Frustrating and brilliant at the same time!

Forces and Movement Zone
It’s time to lift off! Launch a hydrogen rocket, spin a giant orb, or send a huge hot air balloon skyward.

Light and Colour Zone
See yourself in a new light when you gaze through the looking glass.

Water ZoneWoodland and Water Zone
Design a tree, do your own leaf rubbing or crawl through a giant mole hole.

Please note that The Woodland and Water Zone is unheated.

Body and Perception Zone
Challenge your body and brain. Find out how fast your reactions are on Batak or challenge your mind on the Puzzle carousel.

Solomon the Robot Owl
Meet the wise owl - ask him a question - he may even tell you a joke!

Sound and Communication Zone
Speak to your friends with our whisper dishes, sing or whistle and see your sound waves displayed on the computer screen.
