Commitment Ceremonies
Commitment Ceremonies are for any adult couple of any sexual orientation who wish to celebrate their formal commitment to each other, without undergoing a legal marriage or cannot marry for legal reasons. The purpose of this ceremony is to make a declaration of life-long commitment to each other and should be entered into with serious intent. You can have a ceremony with guests or a private occasion with just the couple in attendance.
The ceremony will be conducted by a trained celebrant and can be personalized according to your requirements. There are opportunities to include readings, exchange rings or gifts and to make personal vows of commitment to each other.
A commemorative certificate is presented to the couple at the end of the ceremony. It must be noted that these ceremonies have no legal status and are not legally binding on those who participate. Video recordings can be made of the ceremony, and photographs can be taken afterwards.
Commitment Ceremonies can be held in our Syrett Suite or in any of the approved venues within the Borough. Prices for ceremonies are shown on this website. Please phone Bracknell Register Office on 01344 352052 if you have any further queries.
