Growing Older, Making Choices

Growing Older, Making Choices was a project that looked at how our services for older people should be developed and modernised in the next five years.

We spoke to older people, carers, service providers and community groups to hear your aspirations and to find out what things you felt are important for you to have a good quality of life.

This led to the development of a Commissioning Strategy for Older People’s Services, which sets out how the Council will work with partners such as service providers, voluntary groups and health organisations to meet changing needs with flexible services focused on the individual.

It also sets out how we will deliver, purchase and improve services to make them more modern and flexible in the future.
