Safe Place Scheme

Safe Place Scheme Logo

Following feedback from various groups including the learning disabilities partnership board, older peoples forum, crime and reduction board and others Bracknell Forest has launched a Safe Place Scheme.

The scheme involves shops and other places displaying the nationally recognised Safe Place symbol which is shown above. This indicates that the shop or premises displaying the symbol can provide a safe haven if a member of the public is feeling vulnerable or scared.

A short guide is issued to shops and premises explaining what to do if someone comes into their shop or other building feeling vulnerable.

This scheme uses a symbol which is part of a national scheme. Should you require assistance in any area other than Bracknell Forest some local authorities such as Devon and Cornwall will have the same window sticker where you can get help.
