All Bracknell Forest residents and visitors benefit from the wide and diverse range of services this Department provides. We promote and ensure the sustainable development of the area through widely-consulted planning and transport policies and encourage participation and enjoyment of art, entertainment and sport. Our department touches the lives of all age groups. Our leisure and community services and facilities include a complementary range of activities developed in genuine partnership with private, public and voluntary providers.
Teams within the department help people to find suitable housing, to explore the Borough’s ancient heritage and to gain access to information via its network of libraries. Environmental health officers look after our well being by inspecting food premises and investigating complaints about housing while our parks and countryside teams manage more than 80 parks and countryside sites in the area.
