Discounts - Care Workers
A care worker must live in the same property as the person for whom they are providing care. The care worker must provide at least 24 hours of care per week and earn less than £44.00 per week for providing this care. In addition the care worker must have been introduced into the household by a local authority or charity.
To apply for this discount please write to Revenue Services with evidence from the local authority or charity that:
- the care worker is employed to provide a minimum of 24 hours of care per week
- they are paid less than £44.00 per week for providing this care
- the carer was introduced to the household through the local authority or charity
