Local Democracy
Bracknell Forest Council delivers vital public services across the borough, often working with partners such as Thames Valley Police and NHS Berkshire East to do so. The Council also provides visible local democracy and democratic accountability for the decisions made in relation to those services.
The best way to improve local services and promote change is to listen to the people who use them every day and know them best. The views and opinions of local people play an important part in shaping the services provided by the Council.
Bracknell Forest Council are always looking for ways to engage with people who live, work and learn in the Borough and raise public awareness of the opportunities people have to influence decisions.
Throughout the year we plan to hold events related to local democracy to allow people to become more familiar with the council and democratic processes that can give local people an opportunity to have their say on improving local services.
Participating in local democracy is an efficient, effective way of influencing what happens to you, your neighbours and your community.
